This past weekend, we had a lunch at Chicken Maison in Santa Ana, CA with our friends.
Healthy Mediterranean Cuisine – Chicken Maison
It was four of us and we each ordered half chicken plate with 2 sides.
Only have 3 food pics, since two of them got the same things on the menu. 🙂
We ordered two different types of chicken – spicy lemon garlic and lemon basil.
They both were good, but most of us preferred spicy lemon garlic chicken over lemon basil.
Loved chopped green onions in the sauce.
Greek style coleslaw was spearmint-y and refreshing.
Regular coleslaw was good. Nothing special, but went well with the chicken.
Hummus was good. You eat it with pita bread they give you when your food comes out.
Green salad was just green salad.
Ooohh…. We’re missing garlic butter sauce >_<
Our friends absolutely loved that sauce. My hubby not so much, but I thought it complemented the chicken well.
Our final verdict – We do recommend to people who want to eat on the healthier side. Price is not cheap for amount you’re getting. $9.95 for 1/2 chicken plate includes 2 pieces of chicken, pita bread, garlic sauce, and your choice of 2 sides. Both of us won’t be going back anytime soon, but if you haven’t tried the Mediterranean food before, they have more items on the menu, so try them out. Location is not great but has plenty of parking. Small sitting areas and they do get packed. They had constant lines.
Overall, 3.5 star experience.
