It’s been awhile since we did a review. Update on my personal life – I started 2 new P/T jobs so been really busy. My other half however, bought couple new stuff to review (yay!) so here we go! 🙂
Today we’re doing a review on TJ’s Pizza Al Pollo Asado.
I’m not sure how much it was but think it was between $3.99-$4.99. You can find this at TJ’s frozen food section. Corn masa crust with grilled chicken breast, refried beans, Jack cheese, and tomatillo salsa on the pizza.
Yum or Yuck?
I didn’t notice this before but it actually says Trader Jose’s, not Trader Joe’s. Lol. xD
Back of the box. Shows heating instructions and nutrition facts. FYI, this contains soy and milk.
Hmm… Looks okay so far. Nicely wrapped for freshness.
Better look of the frozen pizza. Where are the toppings???
Pizza after 15-17 mins. in the oven. I cooked it little bit longer than instructed bc we like our crust crispy.
This however doesn’t get crusty to our preference.
His Review: Okay, I thought I was going to be eating a pizza but I was wrong. It actually kind of tastes like a TAMALE (Latin American Dish corn-based w/ meat, veggies, etc)…. but in a pizza form. Obviously, they mentioned it on the box that it is made of corn masa. Personally, I enjoyed it but kind of caught me off guard because I was expecting the taste of pizza… mainly because my favorite food is pizza!!! I would have to give it a 3 star only because the lack of topping on the pizza so it made it taste like a TAMALE that did not have much filling. ★★★☆☆
Her Review: I thought the crust was okay but was disappointed over all. It did not have enough toppings and were very bland. It was like eating a very bland tamale with very little fillings inside. I would not buy it again for the taste or the value. I give it a 2 star. ★★☆☆☆
